The Devil's Tools
In a combination of boredom, creativity, & possibly mixed with a little desperation, FlatIronMike has temporarily put The Mule on mothballs and stuck the power plant in the swing arm project we've been following. Any Self respecting "Outlaw Biker" will tell you these old bikes ain't Garanimals you can mix this stuff up all day long.
It's looking like a real fun bike to ride.
Thanks Mike

Just so it's on your radar.
Hang your Fixie in the rafters and cut the sleeves off your jean jacket.
This week it was brought to my attention on more than one occasion that if your employed in the "Action Sports Industry" your best bet for improving personal street cred is to go get yourself a nice new or gently used Sporty, have the shop install some multi piece bars, remove the front fender and your "chase the cool" is over until next season. Also if your line is experiencing tremendous sell through you could go as far as having your local chopper shop hard tail your new ride.
Always remember trade outs cut cost, practice your DMV course and this will all be over in a few months.
I can't believe I didn't see this coming, I really need to consult my trend forecaster more often.
RWN SR500 - Cut, Grind, Weld.
Cut, grind, weld, for hours and hours. 1978 was the first year for this bike and the amount of useless tabs and brackets is insane, the 81 I did last summer had way less. three years made a big difference. Although I can see the light at the end of the tunnel I have a feeling I'll be doing the same all day today.
For you locals, Last night Chris jump started Wednesday bike night at Hensleys 09. A few people showed up, it was fun but the best was riding home rolling down PCH under a big bright moon, it made me forget the grinder ringing in my ears.
See ya next Wednesday.
