FAT BMX has been a top notch source of BMX information for a lot of years and we're honored to be the feature of this weeks Workshop Wednesday.
There's a lot of talented people sharing this page.

Just a Little Item

We've been working on.
More info over at link: BENCH*MARK

2000 Sporties-Day 2

Separate directions are starting to take shape.
Chris is going with 70Moto's new stainless bars, a Slim Fab tank, solo seat & a lippy fender.
I have Front Street Cycles new low mnt bar with retro riser in stainless, 2.2 Mustang tank, Front Street fender, with some sort of cut down gunslinger type of seat.
A good portion of the day was spent pulling wires, cutting down & shaping cam covers.

More is better

We didn't have enough to do so we thought side by side mild sportster builds would fill the void.
When do we stop taking stuff off & start putting stuff back on?

Chopper Shop

Helicopters are one of those far off passions of mine & yesterday I had the opportunity to hang out at Civic Helicopters for a couple of hours. I was like a kid asking the instructors a million questions.
Good stuff!
Thanks for the hospitality guys.

Going Berzerker with Mad Mike

I've had many a good times with Mike, on and off bikes but sometimes when your no longer able to do the only thing you know & love you get crazy.
Hitting your head a ton of times doesn't help either.

Tail Light- Last Go At It.

Carving these taillight lenses for hours at a time has become very much a chore, I'm having a hard time being motivated to get it done. I'm pretty sure this is the last attempt & I'm confident we know what not to do this time.
The issue has been the lighting element. With the help of "Cheapchop" over at ChopCult we ended up with some tiny LED's from Micro Lazers.
It seems like it will work out and be safe too, We'll see?

BBQ Season

Yesterday we officially kicked off the 2010 BBQ season with house full of friends/family & a Grip of good food.
BBQ's are big deal around this house, this year we have a new smoker to break in, freshen up the horseshoe pits and last night our 16 year old Chiminea laid down for good so a new one is on list as well.
Love Summer!

Big Invoice, Big Big Invoice!

I think Matt paid $250 for this pile of weld with a FLH frame connected to it.
When he gets my invoice for this dental work he's going to realize he could've bought that new repop frame.
I now understand that a mound of crank and an arc welder can cause a lot of work for the next guy.
Amphetamines are a hell of a drug.
I'm still not sure where we're going with this yet, but it's getting there.
This give you an idea of what I'm up against here.

Bob Haro & Chris Miller

Kind of random I know.
Two friends of mine will be speaking at the Transworld Offices next week. If your in the area & into this kind of thing, check it out
Bob Haro & Chris Miller are true innovators, all around good guys & in my mind legends of their sports.

Pure Platinum

We're thinking of hitting up Pure Platinum, I saw on the news that they're biker friendly.

Harbor Freight 30%er's

30% is purely my opinion.
But I'm guessing that's the percentage of Harbor Freight products we really like, use on a regular basis and only cuss out once in a while. However the step bit sets are always great, always on sale & the extra few bucks for the Ti Nitride coated set is definitely worth it.
I just got around to the rear brake reservoir & bracket on this panhead.
The Reservoir itself is a cleaned up ebay after market deal for a sportbike.
The bracket was a bit of 1/2" aluminum plate with two holes via the hand drill, step bits, some flap wheel shaping and a polished finish.
The fit is accurate enough that the resi is just sitting in there waiting to be tacked on the underside or maybe a set screw to hold it in place.
Step bits are a friend of mine.
Price them elsewhere, that alone will have you convinced.
