New Project

Some friends & I began work on a new bike related project at the shop today.

It was a good time and some cool stuff was accomplished.

I love this front end & have been lusting after one for a long time.

I just never had a project that it belonged to, until now.

It cost me WAY too much but it's "cherry" and the bike build is stalled without it. When I lose my ass on parts I tend to make up the loss by selling other unused bits that are taking up space and I feel better.

Anyone need a set of polished CCE panhead rocker covers?

Car Day

My friend Steve & family are on the move again and he asked me if I wanted a couple of weld tables left over from the Hoffman Bikes manufacturing facility?

Of course I do.

They were being stored in the X-games warehouse and today was the day to pick them up. It turned into a bit of a stroll down memory lane and also a lesson in waste and excess similar to the ending of the raiders of the lost ark but with gear, ramps and fun stuff that is just collecting dust.

The infamous grind loop is alive and well.

I wanted to head home via the Inland Empire so I could swing by Biltwell and say hi, the Kawasaki test track is on the way so I stopped and watched Ryan Vilopoto put down a dozen or so laps and went on my way.

Yesterday we headed up to LA to hang out with Michael & Jason at their studio space and shoot some photos of my sportster. Of course as soon as we got there it started pissing rain but it really didn't matter we made a great afternoon of it.

The top photo pretty much sums up the vibe.
