A spur of the moment home office makeover has put a damper on any bike building & interweb use.

This time of year I always feel like I should be at the track anyway so getting nothing I planned done is the norm.

Clamps

I spent a good portion of the day making two stainless pipe clamps.

You'd think I'd get used to the fact that everything takes me at least twice as long as I think it should.

Now to get everything matched, lined up & make some brackets to the clamps.

I think Bob's going with black pipes so these should look pretty nice, maybe tumbled?

The other day I found these rings at the hardware store however I wasn't sure what to do with them but I brought a few home anyway.

I know I posted this on the BCM facebook page last month but yesterday while trying to do some interview stuff for the 6 Over movie I was reminded of Joel Bukiewicz's explanation of why & how he does what he does.

Joel did a great job of putting the feeling and thought process to words, worth watching for sure.

No Knee Knockin

One of my big twin pet peeves is hitting my knee on the air cleaner.

My left knee rests nicely on the expensive paint job that is my tank & the other is ten inches out in wind.

So in our never ending quest for betterment we somehow knocked off nearly a 1/2" of the width of our current air cleaner, pictured is the first sample.

I've got a good amount of miles on this one and it's feeling real nice.

We'll see where it ends up.

I'm sure there will be a ton of event photos posted today but here's a few details that caught my eye.

David Mann Show

Camped in Malibu with friends, cold hangover ride to the show, a full day of bro'in down topped off with a big dinner with Biltwell/Chop Cult, Lowbrow, Four Aces.

Display

I had to make up a display in time for the David Mann show this weekend so this afternoon I sacrificed a floater rotor & busted this thing out.

New Banners

I still get stoked on this kind of stuff.

Back To The Drawing Board, Again

Let's use 1/4" SS rod. OK, we need a stainless clevis,

well we have some round bar and an angle grinder.

It's too flexi let's try a gusset and blend in all nice.
