Throttled II
Obviously I lifted the top photo from TheSelfCenteredMan.Com , so go there to see more.
One of the big highlights to me was Cary Brobek was kind enough to bring a bunch of original from the Easy rider archives (H Robinson).
Thanks Comune & JD for the invite.

MUDDER!
CALVMX JT Series 2; Race 6 Honoring Multi Time Woman's MX Champion Sue Fish
Final race of 2013 series.
12/2/2012
I was excited for the the last race of the season and spent most of friday night rebuilding forks that had blown a seal last month.
Well that all changed.
Due to nonstop drizzle the seasons final race was a F#$kin mess.
I only needed one lap to sew up the series #2 125 GP-1 Intermediate championship & if this wasn't the case I would've stayed in bed. The track was 6"- 10"deep in sand mush soup so I opted to skip practice however the first moto ended up being so fun that I decided to stay for 2nd moto, Bad Idea.
Somewhere in the 2nd or 3rd lap mayhem the motor coughed choked & seized.
Dragging a bike with a locked up wheel through a 150 yards of mud after an already long day was pretty brutal. I'm sure looked like the 4th stooge falling all over the place. At one point I was completely under the bike submerged in slop trying to kick the bike off my lap, Good times.
I did get the Championship & somehow still won the day.

First Day of Buck.
Possibly the worst day of the school year was the day we returned from Thanksgiving break. The Monday following Thanksgiving is always the first day of buck season and although we got that day off from school it also meant that a good part of Tuesday would be spent listening to way too many bullshit stories of how many deer were seen, shot, missed, and tied across the hood of the old mans chevy citation.
However, by far the best story I ever had to listen to was told that exact Tuesday morning of my sophomore year while sitting with the usuals at the cafeteria tables prior to home room.
Stories were already flowing when Joe came in and said you guys have to hear this.
Joe & Kent were good friends and that year they had decided to hunt together. Shortly after arriving at the spot they decided to split up, see what they could scare up, then meet up for lunch and a game report.
Shortly after separating Joe was feeling the effects of a good PA hunters breakfast and found a good tree for a squat. Finishing his business Joe realized he was unprepared & needed something to wipe with, after very little thought Joe ended up sacrificing a glove, buttoned up and pushed on. Lunch time rolls around Joe & Kent meet at the rendezvous point,
Kent immediately asks Joe "see anything?"
Joe says "Nah nothing, You?"
Kent replies "not a damn thing, but (reaching in his pocket) it's your lucky day. Check it out, I found your glove.
****this is repost from 2008 I think of this story every year & it never ceases to be funny.

Busy weekend.
On Friday I ran around shooting photos of "Ed Norton" with Michael Schmidt for Cafe Racer France.
Spent Saturday taking in, sorting out & starting on my contributions to Joel's 48 pan project.
Sunday Shaik came by for a few hours of itel & photos for his project The Mighty Motor.
Craftsman Joshua Doherty
The last time we visited Joshua's work was when I stumbled across his Urban eating kit.
