The neighbor kid had one of these,
It was in beautiful condition, he took great care of it, however it was a true lemon.
Damn thing only ran twice in the 12 years I lived in that neighborhood & probably scared the pudgy little polish kid for life.

2009 Repost: Improving The 74 Clutch

We're about dial in the clutch on Maximum Bob
& I wanted to dig up this cool old tech article to refresh my memory.

Feels A Little Fat?

Rumor has it that JS7 felt like the new YZF had a little muffin top going on and it was throwing him off his game?
What does the Joe Gibbs team do?
Fabricate a beautiful & thinner aluminum tank, mould some new matching radiator shrouds.
The grapevine was also saying that yamaha was not into it at all as they don't like the teams messing with bread and butter of the bikes.
I have a feeling this will all be forgotten if it helps the tuning forks get up on box week after week.

Woke Up Busy

So have a look at these.

Good Day

 2 men 1 grip?

Yesterday we buttoned up the quick trim on MS69, had some tacos & Mike rode it back to LA.
A couple of my favorite dudes to hang out with.

A Bit Down & Out

I'm three weeks into a grade 2 calf strain from a misfire kick on cold morning,
2 weeks on a smashed thumb via a ball peen hammer and it's all taking it's toll.
Both are way more of hassle than I'd like to be dealing with right now
and much more pain than I think should be involved with both mishaps.
I had to miss the first round of the So Cal Vintage Series,
I'm not sure I'll be able to kick my bike over for the another 3 weeks
not to mention the day to day.
My whiny doldrums am not stoked.

Trey Canard and Ryan Morais, Dodger Stadium 2/21/12

Both suffered several vertebrae fractures,
Morias added a broken jaw & some broken ribs.
No sign of cord damage.
Take it easy out there guys.

Let's go riding.

I don't know,

, but I'm thinking if I had a 37 Drake water cooled knucklehead in my back pocket it would've been the bike I built for, say, a vegas circus?

Perris Raceway est.1957

The other day Mike and I went to Perris raceway to mess around on the track & on the way in Mike noticed the sign read the oldest track in So Cal.
This morning I stumbled across this link with some of the history and a couple pages of photos, I've been going there for years and had no idea.
Pretty cool stuff.

Cleaning Out My Hard Drive.

This was the day after a big rain back in 2000, Bob & I took the Attex 500 SuperChief out to Lake Elsinore.
I think that's when we decided a 500cc twin cylinder 2 stroke was way too much for a vehicle with no suspension or seat belts, I sold it shortly after that.
