Maximum BOB

Since none of these bikes are ever done I'll just say the latest update on Robs bike is complete. We did new foot controls with a foot clutch, jockey shift, belt drive, battery, wiring and kicker conversion. Although there's an alien tank sitting here and a wheel change up is in the works as well as different fender/seat combo at least Rob can ride the hell out of it for the rest of our summer weather.

Weekend Update

Man I was Freaking HOT this weekend. We had a lot of fun anyway, a couple of good BBQ's, some horse shoes were tossed and Sunday chop was lazy for me but Bob & Paul got shit done.
Bob enlisted daughter #1 (Mia) to help with wiring & they handled it.
SEANBOY!
We also have a new addition this week. Our old friend Tony brought his triumph over for a front end change up, shake down and a general detailing. I've always liked this bike and it'll be fun getting her back on the road.
That's Paul in his Sunday yamaka

weekend Update #2

Tony & I did a lot of standing around. I enjoyed it.
Paul cleaned the hell out of his motor and is claiming he's only 1/3rd finished. It's a damn shiny mailbox that's for sure

Motor Mount, Scratch Off The List.

My Pan head came to me with the standard el cheapo motor mount. Yes I could've started from scratch but that was Sunday & I was lazy so I started tinkering around & this is what came of it. A bit of finish work and it's ready for the plater. Next, license plate mount which is one of those bits I'm not fond of making.

Amazing Days

It's just way too nice out to be sitting behind a computer.
So I'm not going to

Shopped Panhead Mill

The Weekend That Was

Once again the weekend turned out just great. Sunday Chop has developed into Sunday Chop/BBQ. Two weeks in a row A bunch of people have showed up and cooking broke out, no planning, no invites, Just randomness turning into a ton of food and a great way to end the weekend.
Maximum Bob's back on the road, The BMW had the motor pulled for a top end and the cases cleaned & I made brackets, mounts, more mounts and some other brackets, then a couple more mounts.
GODZIRRA!

1977 Bengt Aberg/Torsten Hallman HL500

Bengt Aberg won the 1977 Luxemburg 500cc FIM Grand Prix on one these bikes.
Works SR500 motor, Lundin Profab frame, Don Jones swing arm, shaved Maico forks & triples, YZ brakes, good stuff.
I want to put lights on it and terrorize the city streets.

Seriously Off Topic, Meatloaf.

I don't think I've ever considered making a meatloaf?
We had so much ground beef left over from Sundays BBQ I thought I'd give it a go. My typical cooking style is winging it which worked out very well, the loaf was a big hit. We fed four, most went for seconds and there's enough left for a lunchtime sandwich.
If your a fan of meatloaf click the recipe, print it & let me know how it goes.

ERWN SR500 Update

The bike was picked up two weeks ago yesterday.
The owner hasn't been capable of starting it let alone riding the hell out of it?
I'm glad I busted my ass on that one, Bummed.

At the Grocery

Went to the grocery yesterday to pick up some BBQ fixins and right there front & center is Flat Iron Mikes AI cover which is super cool & fun to see it displayed for the world to see.
However what made me want to purchase the mag was the fitness article on "developing upper strength for steering a bike." ???

Death on the water?

Vintage Drag Boats
I had saved a photo of a paint scheme from on one of these type of boats that I was considering for my pan head project, now I can't find it. The new search results brought up some really beautiful late 60's-70's resto work. Everybody's into something.
I never did find the photo.
