I grew up riding and loving MX and longed to race it, but as a lot of us were back in the day, I was a kid with no money. Bob Hannah was the reason it was OK for me to get into BMX. The Hurricane was my hero. I ordered my first "real" BMX bike from that ad in particular; a red DG Rooster from that ad (I think it ran in Motocross Action or their mini bike mag). I still have that frame and fork hanging in my garage.

There are at least ten awesome things in this ad. The pioneering DG/Vans collab sits comfortably at #1.
