2009 Repost: Improving The 74 Clutch





 We're about dial in the clutch on Maximum Bob 
& I wanted to dig up this cool old tech article to refresh my memory.

I stupid dude I know (me), did the old "put a fiber in first" type of deal trying the above modification. The primo riviera belt hub I was using needs a steel in first due to the hub being aluminum where the 1st fiber would run against. My kicker arm would kick through with no engagement from time to time when the bike was hot because of little alum bits jamming the clutch plates up. Seems fiber beats aluminum, true story.
