Damn!
One good slam of the garage door and that thicker than stock high grade stainless coil mount that I made last week didn't even get to the first ride. Rather than reinstall the thin stock mount that lasted 35 years I thought I'd turn it up to eleven.

Jake Thinks it Might be OCD?
I've been walking past this bad factory steer tube bolt/nut combo for a few weeks now & it's been driving me nuts.
Seriously this thing is right in your face the whole time your riding.

An allen bolt, washer, some creative use of the hack saw, a little weld, polish & I'm feeling much better.

Crusty Norton
While walking around with the/my lady I stumbled across this Norton cafe parked on the street in Dumbo (down under the Manhattan bridge overpass) .
I was stoked on how grimy it was, plus it had some cool parts on it.
Machina Cycles Brooklyn
I'm back from NYC & since there was a dozen great industry photo journalist at all the events I chose to leave my camera in the hotel. I'm sure there's amazing photos from all that went down all over the inter web.

Machina is the shop space where my friends Matt & Malcolm work out of, I had the pleasure of spending a good part of a day there watching Malcolm and other shop locals work.
I was pretty cool but now I can really appreciate my garage & the tools in it.

I Like NY.
Ever since May I've pretty much been holed up in the garage just trying to get it back together & I haven't been able to travel at all.
Although I like the So Cal weather all the cookie cutter stucco walled, tile roof, soulless surroundings are driving me fucking bananas!
I can't wait to get out of the brown, back to the green and feel some depth and style.
Not to mention how many of ya'll will be there to have fun with.

The Whiskey Throttle
Last week Bob stopped by Biltwell and picked up their Whiskey Throttle Assembly.
Out of the box this is a real nice piece, but instead of doing what I was supposed to
I went ahead & matched the body, rounded the alan bolts and gave it a got polish.
Dead End Justice
I caught The Runaways flick on the late night tube this past weekend.
Not sure I would've survived that scene.
