i had lots of raleigh choppers but on a downhill they handled real bad unless you locked your arns straight to prevent what we call a tank slapper then after a while we put longer forks in a improved the high speed steering
Man I'm sure these things handled like shit but the seats & the shifters are amazing.
I had a Ross Apollo 5 speed it didn't last long and my parents were bummed. Yamaha Moto-bike was next and when the head tube snapped off they were Really bummed.

My Ross Apollo suffers a similar handling problem - lots of flex in the front triangle - once the shimmy begins, it can get a little hairy.
saw a nice one at the Turlock swap meet.
i used to make the mudguards...wide mudguard section trowell notts late 70's
