I'm sorry I've forgotten where these images came from so if they're yours please let me know.
However I do recall the story.
This was the top secret works bike era & unlike todays carnival - dance club atmosphere the pits were off limits to anyone not part of the serious race effort.
On this day the photographer managed to sneak in and get off a few shots of Broc Glovers race bike being prepped by then Yamaha wrench, Jim Felt.
10 years or so later Jim Felt went on to put together a stellar bicycle industry team and launched the popular brand that is Felt Bicycles.

i remember how it was around Trans Am races @ Carnegie, we used to race after the pros and the track was TORE UP!
